School Budget Committee opening

Hi, folks. Below find a press release we're putting into local papers, the school web site, and on the cable TV channels - specifically to solicit residents to send a letter of interest to fill the open slot on the budget committee until the election in April. Press Release

Due to the resignation of member Chip Underhill, the Merrimack School District Budget Committee has an open seat until the next election. The committee is now looking for residents who have an interest in filling this seat for the upcoming budget process.

The only qualifications required to serve on the Budget Committee are that you be a Merrimack resident, as well as a registered voter. Those interested in being considered for this open position should submit a letter of interest to the Budget Committee, including your name, address, email and phone number, as well as a brief explanation of why you'd like to serve on the committee. The letter should be postmarked no later than September 24, 2010 and sent to:

On October 5, 2010 at 7 pm in the Mastricola Elementary All-Purpose Room, the Committee will be hold public interviews with those who submit letters of interest. The final process for naming a replacement will be determined during that meeting.
