SB Myths: The district has no accountability

If not, why would we be concerned with addressing something like a DINI (District in need of improvement) status to begin with, much less working to address the matter?!

Asst. Superintendent Deb Wolflein has been very proactive in bringing up NECAP scores and updating the DINI status during School Board meetings this past year. Case in point, a handful of instances straight from School Board Agendas:

May 22, 2006--Item #6: Presentation of District In Need of Improvement Subcommittee Reports
August 14, 2006--Item #9: District In Need of Improvement Subcommittee Synthesis Report
October 2, 2006--Item #6: Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) Status Update
November 6, 2006--Item #6: Update on District's Literacy Initiative (Dr.Kim Boothroyd)
February 20, 2007--Item #12: Preliminary NECAP Results

Oh, by the way, you can read all about this in the SB meeting minutes.
