Town Meetings on the Web

I mentioned this in another thread but since it might get lost in the deep discussion over there I thought I'd give it its own thread.

The Media Services dept is now encoding town meetings for distribution on the Web. Here's the news item about it:

http://merrimack.tv/news/index.php?id=127

As with anything new I'm sure we'll find a bug or two, but essentially you just click on the meeting you want, click the Play button, and it starts playing. While it's playing it's also loading, and once it's fully loaded (watch the progress bar) you can then skip around to get to the interesting bits.

Cool. Very cool. Kudos to Nick and his team.

I think it is great. Now I can watch the meetings when I have the time.

They are posting them in a very timely fashion as well. They are getting online within a day or so of the meeting having taken place.

I appreciate this service.

Thanks!
