Great Dentists??? Adult and Pediatric

Postby elijahstrust » Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:37 am

It is now time to start our search for a dentist both for ourselves and for our children. Can anyone make any recommendations for wonderful, accommodating, compassionate dentists? Children with special needs so compassionate, patience and fun is a MUST. Adult....gentle....can you tell we've had some bad experiences???

Also helpful if you know if they take MetLife PPO Dental

James Savickas DMD is rated one of the top dentists in NH by NH Magazine (it is a peer survey to determine the winner BTW). I know the family personally and his son is in my son's class. His web address is and he is a great guy in addition to being recognized by his peers for his talent.

I highly suggest using Merrimack Smiles.
Dr. Cara Coleman is wonderful and great with kids and adults.
Dr. Michel Couret is the founder and owner.
The rest of of the professional staff is awesome too.
They are located at 22 Greeley St.
The phone number is 424-7676
Their website is
Good luck.

I'll second Stan's recommendation for Merrimack Smiles. I've personally seen Dr Couret since I was in high school, and my family has seen him for the last 20+ years. Recently I've been seeing Dr Coleman for several work items, and she's an outstanding dentist and can solve even the most complex issues - she's great! And our 13 yr old son has Aspergers, and as such we've had a lot of experience with them dealing with him through routine visits and the occasional filling, and they do a great job! Definite thumbs-up!

Just to give you more options we use Dr. Danboise for my wife and I and Amherst Pediatric Dental for our kids. Both have been great and both have taken Metlife dental. Dr Danboise has been excellent, in addition to being a great dentist he makes it a point to respect your time and never overbooks patients so I've never had to wait past my scheduled time.

Amherst Pediatric Dental is a little bit more of an assembly line operation but again we've never had to wait long and the hygienists have been great with the kids. Every visit the kids do get a check by the dentist and he seems very pleasant but we haven't needed to have a full on visit with the dentist yet as far as I recall.

I am using Dr Nick Rizos in Bedford
came recommended by a number of people
I was not happy with the previous one I had and was looking for a change
tried one of the other recommended ones with less than satisfactory experience - PM me if you want details

Dr. Nick has done a great job with me and my son

Amherst Pediatric Dental for kids. To me they are the best. We used a non pediatric dentist for them in Nashua that we had issues with. When we switched it was like night and day. My kids are totally comfortable and happy going to the dentist now. Friendly, Great with kids. Highly recommended.

Dr. Bobbit in Nashua is the best dentist in NH.

There's a pediatric dentist going in next door to his office - though I think he does some peids work.

We've moved north and I still make the drive to Nashua to see him.

Better late than never, but another vote for Merrimack Smiles. We have been seeing
Mitch (Dr. Couret) since moving here over 30 years ago. Never any problems or concerns.

I don't have any experience with Dr. Coleman, but he rest of the staff is great.
