Iraq timetable

I was just wondering what people thought of this news?
Iraq demands "very clear" U.S. troop timeline
By Mohammed Abbas

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The United States must provide a "very clear timeline" to withdraw its troops from Iraq as part of an agreement allowing them to stay beyond this year, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said on Sunday.

It was the strongest public assertion yet that Iraq is demanding a timeline. U.S. President George W. Bush has long resisted setting a firm schedule for pulling troops out of Iraq, although last month the White House began speaking of a general "time horizon" and "aspirational goals" to withdraw.

Iraq's leaders have become more confident of their ability to provide security on their own as the country has become safer. But bombings, which killed at least nine people on Sunday, were a reminder that it is still a violent place.

In an interview with Reuters, Zebari said the agreement, including the timeline, was "very close" and would probably be presented to the Iraqi parliament in early September.

Asked if Iraq would accept a document that did not include dates for a withdrawal, Zebari said: "No, no. Definitely there has to be a very clear timeline."

It's clear they want us out, as do most Americans. Obama has already outlined a very clear and sensible timetable, as opposed to McCain's hundred-year plan.

More lies I see. A sane plan, is to get us out when the Iraqi's are capabale of controlling their own destiny. Thanks to the surge and to the courage of GW to elimate one of the most evil men of our time, The Iraqi's now have a chance to live in a free world. This is good news, the progress that has and is being made in the war. Yet THE CHOSEN ONE, is yet to admit that the surge worked. To this day the libs are invested in defeat, how un American.

So would you let your children continue to live at home, with you supporting them, into their 30s and 40s? At some point, ready or not, they have to fend for themselves on their own, right? Think about it. Better yet, just THINK.

I have already done that RD. They fend for themselves quite nicely and they are still quite young. But I did that when they were capable of fending for themeselves. But again, another really dumb example. We are talking a nation that would be crushed by the likes of Akmadeenjad or over run by terrorists once again if we pull out immediatly. The good news, again, because of the surge light is at the end of the tunnel and troops will be coming home. It didn't make things worse like THE ONE said it would, and still to this day won't admit that it is working. And if you are foolish enough to think the US will not have a presence their long after you and I are pushing up daisys, your fooling yourself. The same will be true if THE ONE is elected no matter what he has said to get elected.
