This book lays open Obama's liberal leanings. Wow!

Amazon review, WOW!

THE OBAMA NATION Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality

Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be 'a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.'

In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about: -Obama's extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father and step-fathers Islamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrnassociations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press

-Barack and Michelle's 20-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Franz Fanon , Stokely Carmichael and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama

-Obama's continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings

-Obama's involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obamas initial campaigns and to purchase of Barack and Michelles dream-home property

-the background and techniques of the Obama campaign's cult of personality, including the derivation of the words 'hope and change'

-Obama's far-left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program

-Obama's naïve, anti-war, anti-nuclear foreign-policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences, for us, for the Iraqis or for Israel.

Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeated not by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well-researched and fact-based.

I don't think that an unrepentant violent terrorist like William Ayers should come within two paragraphs of the word "hero."

William Ayers, to the New York Times in 2001, wrote:“I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough."

Wow, this Corsi guy is a real piece of work. I know that Wikipedia isn't the most accepted of sources, but a quick look through the page on Corsi is real eye-opening http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_Corsi Sort of reminds me of the "wackos" that Jeannine refers to all the time...

Jerome R. Corsi (August 31, 1946) is an American author and Republican activist, who at one time was considered a candidate for the Constitution Party's 2008 Presidential nomination.[1]

Corsi received national media exposure as co-author (with John O'Neill), of Unfit for Command, a book that topped the New York Times bestseller list

Corsi stated "Howard Phillips of the Constitution Party asked me to consider seriously running for president in 2008 and I am doing so."[9] He then agreed to be nominated at the Constitution Party National Convention.[1] He started appearing at its state conventions. On the radio on 2007-05-21, he said if he is the nominee, he would campaign on these issues: (1) secure the borders; (2) a strong national defense used only to protect the U.S.; (3) punish employers who hire illegal aliens; (4) abolish social welfare for illegal aliens; (5) work for energy independence; (6) work for a tax system which does not include personal income tax.[10]He dropped out in July 2007. [11]

Controversies
In August 2004, during Corsi's cooperation with the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, the website Media Matters for America reposted a number of controversial comments — some interpreted to be anti-Islam, anti-Catholic, anti-semitic and homophobic[17] — made by Corsi at the forum threads of the Free Republic website from 2001 through 2004. Corsi responded that the selected posts were failed attempts at humor, but the Media Matters for America story rapidly spread.[18] When questioned about his connection with Corsi at this time, John O'Neill claimed that Corsi was not actually a co-author of the book Unfit for Command, but rather was "simply an editor." ("Scarborough Country," Aug. 10, 2004; "Wolf Blitzer Reports," Aug. 11, 2004).[19] However, O'Neill described Corsi as the book's "coauthor" in a 2007 letter to the New York Times[20], and Scott Swett and TimZiegler describe Corsi's efforts in writing the book, referring to him as one of its "authors," in their book "To Set the Record Straight" (pp. 120-124).

Conservative author and pundit Debbie Schlussel has accused Corsi of plagiarizing elements from columns that she has published, and subsequently posting them under his byline in his WorldNetDaily column.[21][22]

Corsi is also a prominent endorser of the concept of "abiotic oil" production;[23] the idea that oil is naturally produced underground through methods other than the scientifically-accepted process of converting biological material.[24] This view is sometimes used to counter concerns over "peak oil", but as yet has no demonstrable basis in fact and is not supported by science.[25]

Corsi also claims the George W. Bush administration policy "on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union," a theoretical continental union of Canada, Mexico and the United States, that will supplant the United States.[26]

Man I wish this guy was running, the only statement I do not agree with is a strong national defense for only the US. Other than that, he got my vote.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
