elections

Postby lynn » Sat Jan 28, 2012 4:09 pm

if you would all try to pass the word around
particularly to anyone in the north end of town
you cannot vote at St James anymore.

If you voted there in the past you need to come to the Mastricola upper elementary now to vote

We will have signs up around town to help alert people - but you forum readers
are a diverse lot and can help get the word out

ALSO polls now will close at 7 instead of 8PM

absentee ballots are easily received. Either stop in to town hall and pick up
( you can fill out right there and leave if you like) or mail or fax your request
and it will be mailed to you.

If it turns out you will be in town after all you can come in and vote in person instead
No - we won't count both - we watch that

polls are exceptionally quiet
if you want to win - better start making phone calls and
get your supporters there to vote for you

just fyi

Lynn.....it isn't any fun without a polarizing issue to get people going.

Someone needs to author a warrant article funding a new turf field and weekend hours at the library with the revenues from a curbside recycling program.

wait, wait.....AND tie it all to PAYT.

Absolute mayhem and so much fun.

for those interested

Ethics committee
Tony Pelegrino was the onely one runnig for one of the 2 three yr slots
he was elected
there was a 5-way tie with write-in for the remaining seat

Dave McCray, Lon Woods, Tom Mahon, Kevin Shea, and Paul Compton

the winner will be drawn via lottery - if they chose not to serve or are ineligible
then the seat will be decalred vacant and filled thru normal vacancy process

Aww, Lynn. Lottery?! And here I told my daughter when she asked about the process that I was hoping for the Texas Cage Death Match format since there was so much interest on the office to begin with. :( Haven't had a media circus in a long time.

Too funny........

Dave "Chioce" McCray arriving at 3:59PM in a limo with garbage falling out of the windows and driven by Captain Mike Malzone
Lon "Chaney" Woods wearing a wolf mask (the fight must be held during a full moon)
Tom "Mayhem" Mahon, adorned in a getup made of teflon

I have nothing for Kevin and Paul.........

It's a wrestling ring with 8-10 foot high chain link fence around it. All combatants enter the ring. No holds barred. Last one standing, wins! Makes "Survivor" look like a Girl Scout overnight. The Pay-Per-View on this could be astounding! Vince McMahon (WWF) would be livid. Handled right, could shave a chunk off the tax rate.

By the way, catch the plot of J.K. Rowling's (the Harry Potter franchise) first adult novel. A dark comedy about the sudden death of a town council member in a small British town and the war among the populace to replace him. OH! Britian Huh? If it's as good as "Whiskey Galore" is should be a hoot.

Actually, Fitzie has it nailed about the ambiance. And, Kevin Shea could also have the Wolf's head because he was the mascot of the Manchester Wolves Arena Football Team. They gave him the costume when they disbanded. The "Mayhem" piece is old, to me. "Ace" Leclerc of Leclerc's Used Cars in Pelham, called me that all the time when I worked for the town.

We need some cool managers like Capt. Lou Albano, Classy Freddie Blassie and The Grand Wizard. Then we need a bad guy to become a good guy so we can all root for them....only to have them go bad again.

Nah.....I was a fan of the old school guys like George the Animal Steele, Cheif Jay Strongbow, Ivan The Polish Hammer Putski and of the legendary Andre the Giant. The modern guys are more athletic but the soap opera setting these days is a turn off. Just give me a good old fashion arm bar followed by a sleeper hold.......(not literally) :D
