Build/Design Remodeling Co. Recommendations?

Postby mort » Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:18 am

Any recommendations on who to use (and who NOT to use) for a design/build addition project? Planning on a family room addition and a kitchen renovation in the next few months.

Thank you for your advice!

I'd give Roger Blais a call. He's right here in Merrimack, been around for many years, he's a very honest guy and I've heard he does good work, although I haven't used his services myself.

We had great experiences with Joel Winters. His # is 624.5635. He did our roof as well as our sunporch. His rates were reasonable and he did a quality job.

I'll second Deb, Roger Blais
Have known him thru Homebuilders Assoc, where he is well respected by his peers
We have had him do work for us as well as someof my customers as well.

Yet another "thumbs up" for Roger Blais. He's done a large addition for us about 9 years ago, a bathroom remodel a couple of years after that - and this last summer when we had an issue with something on our addition he sent one of his guys out and took care of it no questions asked. I couldn't ask for better service - even 9 years after the fact! And a second thumbs-up to Roger's brother, Dave Blais, who's a local electrical contractor (DRB Electric) who gave us an outstanding quote (and top-notch service) for our generator install this past summer.

We have used Merritt Peaslee from www.mjpeasleyconstruction.com for a number of projects including a large addition. I can not begin to say enough about his work, his integrity and how wonderful it was to work with him. We have recommended him on numerous occasions to dozens of people for additions and everyone has been delighted with his work. His number is 472-7110

Thank you for the recommendations. We ended up contacting both Merritt and Roger (among others). It boiled down to these two. Both are patient and helpful when discussing the design of an addition.

We selected Roger Blais. The construction work began last week and hopefully will be completed in about 8 weeks.

I appreciate everyone's input.
