Nat, is the upgrade coming soon?

Postby Mark Fitzgerald » Wed May 26, 2004 1:00 pm

Hi Nat. You mentioned last week that you were going to install something that would allow users to set their own preferences, specifically the order in which posts come up. The new default of "oldest first" is brutal. Have any news you can share?

Mark,

Someone posted a tip a few days ago that has been working for me: in the view that shows the list of topics, you can see the name of the poster and time of the latest post on the right hand side of the page. Also, there is a little icon that looks like a sheet of paper with an arrow; click this icon and it will take you directly to the latest post. If there has been a lot pf posting to the topic since your last visit, you may have to scroll up a bit, but it is much less painful than starting at page 1.

Thanks, Tom S.
