Good Pest Control Experience

Postby Shannon Barnes » Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:56 pm

I had bats (5 of them!) living on my farmer's porch over my door. This is our main door to the house. Paul Estey of Merrimack Valley Wildlife Services came out right away and removed them (If you heard a scream in Merrimack around 2.30pm--it was me!). 4 of the 5 flew off and he got 1 and took it away. We will be making some quick fixes to the house so they have no "habitat" to come back to in the interim. He gave us great advice and suggested things we could do to prevent future occurrences. He is based in Merrimack on Amherst St. and his # is 424-WILD (9453)

5, only 5.

two years ago standing in front of our home about dusk - I turned and noticed a couple ( take note of the number here) bats coming out from the attic fro under the flashing around our center chimney. Shortly after we had our roof replaced ( by Roger blais - though he is not responsible for wildlife) As a related aside - we had an addition built prior to this.
one evening, within 2 days of replacing the roof, my son showed up in the main house from the addition. "Bats..., "
They obviously could not exit from their normal orifice and were exiting into the addition.
My sons girlfriend ( so much for squeemish females) and I collected 12 bats and liberated then to the outside. Deadliest catch was on - Chris never left his lazy-boy.

The next night, "bats....". we liberated another 13 bats. The following morning there was one more - must have been the one one at the end of the gene poll line.

have not seen one since.

talking with an exterminator between night one and two - there is some problem with eliminating bats at a certain time of year due to the probably of "young"

be glad there were just 5

Bats are great for Mosquito control.....

Bat Houses set up around your yard can provide a good ploace for them to live......

PM me and I can give instructions on where to mount a Bat house.....
