Scavenger Hunt?

Anybody out there in the Merrimack Lions? What's this scavenger hunt thing I've seen advertised around town?

Well Debra, looks like nobody knows. I recently saw one of these signs. There is a web address on it, but they made that the smallest text on the sign, so I couldn't read it without risking an accident as I drove by. I guess I'll have to pull over and get out to read it if I get curious enough - but I don't think I'll get curious enough. It also said something about Brown's Village Depot, so I guess you could inquire there. If it is some kind of fundraiser for a worthy cause, the poor publicity would be a shame.

Deb,

Shannon picked up the flier from Browns. It's being put on by the Lion's club. You sign up and I think it was something like $10 or so to sign up and in March they will email everyone who signed up a list of items for them or their team (depending on how you signed up) they need to bring to Browns. Most items you get back but items like used eye glasses etc are being collected as part of this to donate to charities.

Sounds like fun for a good cause.

Guy,

Being new to town you may find the town's website helpful. http://www.merrimacknh.gov/
Welcome

Also for town elections, Brian McCarthy, currently one of the town counselors, hosts a website devoted to our local election and the people who are running for local offices.

www.merrimackvotes.org

In this forum, people kick around issues going on in town or affecting the town.

I finally made it to Brown's and signed up a few days ago. It sounds like a fun way for them to raise some funds for Kids Kove and other things.

Welcome to the forum, Guy. If you have a question that isn't being addressed on one of the current threads, just start a new thread. The town election is a great idea for a new thread! You should start it. You'll probably get lots of activity on that topic.
